Tagging in a business fan page works the same as it does in a personal Facebook photo album. You can upload a photo to your wall and tag it or add a photo to an album and tag it.
Why might you want to tag clients in a Facebook photo?
- Get their attention
- Get their friends' attention
- Give them a warm fuzzy
- Solicit interaction, perhaps share with their friends
Anything you can do to softly nudge people to check out your fan page, share it with friends or just foster good will is a good thing. Photos are genuinely warm and fun to share. Tagging people lets them know you're paying attention, that they are important to you. Most people like a little recognition. It's a great way to keep you on their mind, letting them know they're on your's.
Tagging someone is simple. All you need is a photo, either on your wall or an album, that has a picture of the person and have them in your friends list or a fan. First find the image you wish to tag.

Choose your image (recent images are especially good).
Once you pick the image, you'll click on it to go to the image description/comment page. Find "Tag This Photo" under the image.

When you click on the link to tag someone, you'll see a square pop up and the tag window. Type the person's name (start a few characters at a time to see if the person you're searching for pops up. Once you see them, just check the box next to their name.

Once you've clicked the check box next to their name and click on "Tag," you're done.
